Food Safety Mid Atlantic’s founder, Dr. Cathy Davies

Dr. Cathy Davies, has always been passionate about food, having fun with everything from growing and cooking to studying and writing about it. Dr. Davies built her food science knowledge by earning a BS in Human Nutrition, a Ph. D. in Food Science, and several food safety certificates. She taught food science and nutrition for 20 years before leaving academia to found Food Safety Mid Atlantic. Dr. Davies saw the need for food science to be accessible to small startups and knew that with her knowledge she could provide support to those who were unsure about food safety and regulatory requirements. Food Safety Mid Atlantic makes food safety approachable, while also providing knowledge-based services and the support that small startups need to expand.
